Peace Islands National Wildlife Area

Located in Lac St-Louis, opposite the municipalities of Léry, Maple Grove and Beauharnois, the îles de la Paix are barely recognizable from the shore.
They can only be discovered by canoe or kayak.
They are a haven for migratory birds.
At the center of the islands is a marsh with a variety of aquatic plants.
Many species of birds can be seen here, including mallard ducks, tree swallows and black terns.
There’s something for every birdwatching enthusiast.
