Lac St-François National Wildlife Area

This 1,350-hectare reserve is characterized by its vast areas of marsh and swamp.
There are 16 species of small reptiles and amphibians.
There are also several bird species and 40 rare plant species.
The microclimate and the water, one of the warmest in Quebec, favor the proliferation of this flora.
There are 11 km of hiking trails to explore.
It’s also an ideal spot for canoeing and kayaking.
You can explore the 16 km of channels and venture into the marshes.
The Amis de la Réserve de faune du lac St-François site is ideal for launching ($5).
The organization also offers guided rabaska canoe tours.
Environment and Climate Change Canada’s geocaching ralley “Sur la piste de Ouaouaron!” will enable families and school groups to discover the wonders of this unique protected territory and get to know its inhabitants better.
