Refuge faunique Marguerite-D’Youville Nature lovers will be delighted by the eight kilometers of trails at the Refuge faunique Marguerite-D’Youville, located on Île Saint-Bernard in Châteauguay.
The marshes, swamps, shores, meadows, hickory maple grove and bicolored oak grove are exceptional ecosystems that are home to a wide variety of flora and fauna, including 215 species of birds.

An open-air guided tour to discover the secrets of Île Saint-Bernard! Audio-guided tour The audio-guided nature tour lets visitors stroll the trails of the Marguerite-D’Youville wildlife refuge using new MP3 and smartphone technologies.
The interactive tour explores the site’s natural and cultural heritage.
Hikers will learn about the history, environment, flora and fauna and archaeology of Île Saint-Bernard.
Audioguide rentals include a digital player, headphones and binoculars.
Eleven interpretation stations marked by steles are located at key points of interest along the trails.
These stations provide additional information to the audioguide tour.
Audioguides can be rented at the Pavillon de l’île for $6 + tax each.
People can also download the tour content onto their own digital player or smartphone (iPhone, for example) via the Héritage Saint-Bernard website, for $3.
A total of twenty audio guides are available, fourteen in French and six in English.
