Located at the eastern end of Pointe-des-Cascades, this park is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts. Walk to the end of the pier and discover the lighthouse indicating the entrance to the Soulanges Canal. From the belvedere, you can admire the point where the Ottawa River meets the St. Lawrence River – a superb vantage point! Over 199 different bird species have been observed in the nature park.
Along the trails, you can discover the remains of military canals. The site has two fee-paying boat launches (managed by the municipality of Pointe-des-Cascades) for motorized and non-motorized boats. The 5 kilometers of trails are perfect for an outdoor stroll in summer, and for a fatbike or snowshoe tour in winter.
Picnic areas are available for pleasant moments with family and friends. If you’re out cycling, the nature park is accessible via the Soulanges bike path. On the curve of Route 338 and in front of the church, there is parking for your car.
