La Traversée de Charlevoix offers hikers, snowshoers and cross-country skiers short hiking trails and a 105-kilometre long hiking trail with cabin accommodation and luggage transport.
Criss-crossing the Charlevoix hinterland, in the heart of the World Biosphere Reserve, the Traversée de Charlevoix follows one of the most beautiful wilderness trails in Quebec. Set in the region’s typical semi-boreal forest and surrounded by peaks reaching up to 1,000 metres, the trail brings you into close contact with a variety of ecosystems.
The Traversée de Charlevoix is one of the most beautiful long-distance hiking trails east of the Rockies, and can be hiked in whole or in part. At each stage (Squirrel, Woodchuck, Owl/Bihoreau, Blue Jay, Coyote, Sparrowhawk) of the long hike, you can sleep in a wilderness campsite or in one of the chalets along the way. La Traversée de Charlevoix is a section of both the Trans Canada Trail and the National Trail in Quebec.
Daily hikes: sentier des Sommets, sentier des monts du Lac-à-l’Empêche et du Four, sentier du mont Eudore Fortin, sentier du Cadot et du Button, sentier du Dôme and sentier de l’Orignac Centre.
