The Sentier national en Matawinie offers a well-balanced mix of vistas, lakes and mountains. Located in the northern part of the Lanaudière region, it is part of a major national project to complete a coast-to-coast hiking trail across Canada. In Quebec alone, the National Trail stretches for 1100 km to delight hiking enthusiasts.
In Matawinie, the trail crosses the region from west to east, covering more than 170 kilometers. Criss-crossing some of the most beautiful natural environments in the northern Lanaudière region, the Sentier national will introduce you to a wilderness of diverse landscapes. Along the way, you’ll also come across some of Matawinie’s regional parks.
