The Mont à Liguori trail

This challenging trail totals 15.4 km and takes 4 to 6 hours to complete. It serves as access to the Gabrielle-Roy-Ouest trail, allowing hikers to complete a large loop with the Massif de Charlevoix trail network. The trail is also an outing for long-distance hikers on the Sentier des Caps.

Entrance to the trail is from the Coopérative de solidarité L’Affluent, where you can register ($5 contribution). Right from the start, the trail is marked by a fairly steep climb followed by a path rich in vegetation. An exceptional view of the river awaits you when you arrive at the Liguori refuge!

Snowshoe trekking

In the summit sector of the Massif de Charlevoix, the trail offers a 6 km snowshoeing round trip of intermediate level, lasting 2 to 3 hours. The Liguori refuge is located 3 km from the starting point.

Off-piste sector

The off-piste sector is located on Mont à Liguori, north of Le Massif de Charlevoix resort. There are 3 summits: 800m, 550m and 425m, all accessible by climbing skins or on foot. This terrain is for experts only: it’s very steep, narrow and contains unmarked natural obstacles.

Sector 800 is accessible via the Camp-Boule sector, at the very start of La Fortin. You’ll see a poster with a map of the sector. Sector 550 is accessible from the base of the Camp-Boule chairlift. As for sector 425, it can be reached via the bottom of 4, in sector 550.

To access this area, you must have your alpine touring pass or lift ticket. Access rights are available from customer services at Chalet Sommet or Chalet Base. The cost is $25 for a day pass including a chairlift or gondola ride, and $100 for a season pass.
