Val Chester Outdoor Center

The pond at Val Chester Outdoor Center

Located at the foot of the Appalachians, 15 km from Victoriaville in the municipality of Chesterville, the Val Chester outdoor center is a peaceful resort in the heart of the forest and on the banks of the magnificent Nicolet River. It offers 42 serviced campsites as well as wilderness camping.

In summer, you can fish in the small lake stocked with magnificent trout, or, for the more adept, in the river, which is also stocked. There are over 6 km of hiking trails in a mixed forest. You can visit a farm, enjoy the beach, swim in the river, play soccer, volleyball and basketball. In winter, you can enjoy snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, skating, tobogganing, ice fishing and snowmobiling.
