A dozen trails wind through the Réserve naturelle du Boisé-de-la-Marconi, showcasing the forest, wildlife and ecological attractions of this rich 60-hectare forest. A 30-seat amphitheatre is within easy reach of the first of the two parking lots. Rest areas, signposts and landmarks complete the facilities. Birdwatchers can observe forest birds here, as the park is part of the Circuit ornithologique du Centre-du-Québec.
Le Boisé was named in honor of Guglielmo Marconi, inventor of wireless telegraph transmission, as it was here that Canada’s first transatlantic radiotelephone transmitting antenna was installed in 1926.
