Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue Canal National Historic Site

The Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue canal links Lac Saint-Louis to Lac des Deux-Montagnes, at the mouth of the Ottawa River.
It was inaugurated in 1843, then redeveloped in 1882 right next to the old one.
It was an important commercial navigation route.
Today, it is used by pleasure boaters.
From mid-May to mid-October, you can visit the park adjacent to the locks to take a walk (2 km linear), relax or enjoy a family picnic.
You can also admire the boats crossing the canal and watch the lock maneuvers.
