Surfing the Lachine Rapids in Montreal

Specializing in whitewater kayaking, surfing and paddleboarding, this unique Montreal water sports center is dedicated to making the St. Lawrence River a must-see destination. Located just minutes from downtown, KSF offers SUP (paddleboard), surfing and kayaking lessons, excursions, rentals, day camps and sales.

One of the best-known spots, the Lachine rapids offer a variety of waves for paddlers and surfers of all levels. Experienced paddlers can ride waves and rapids rated 3 and 4, including Big Joe, Gaétan and Pyramidale (Lucile).

Access

Kayak Sans Frontières offers two points of service. The first, KSP École et location LaSalle, is located at 7770 Boulevard LaSalle in LaSalle, at the corner of Bishop Power Boulevard and Parc des Rapides. The second, KSP Parc Jean-Drapeau, is located at 1 Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal, on Île Notre-Dame near the Jean-Doré beach, close to parking P5. Both are accessible by car and public transport.
