Club Aviron Lachine

Rowing on the Lachine Canal

The Lachine Rowing Club was founded in 1863 by a group of Canadian, British and Scottish engineers working on the construction of the Lachine railway bridge. It is one of the oldest rowing clubs in operation on the North American continent.

It’s one of only nine clubs in Quebec, and the only one operating on Lake St. Louis. Aviron Lachine members row for the fun of the sport, and if any of you have a competitive spirit, we have several coaches at your disposal. Not a member? Season passes and courses are available for the summer.
