The park covers an area of 92 square kilometres. Inhabited at the turn of the century, then deserted in the 1920s, Pointe-Taillon has retained its wild and unique character. On the south side, on the shores of Lac Saint-Jean, you’ll find long sandy beaches, ideal for swimming and water sports such as pedal boating and kayaking. On the north side, the Péribonka River is a great place for canoeing. The 45 km bike path that encircles the park, 16 km of which are linked to the Véloroute des Bleuets, allows hikers to discover the park’s diverse flora and fauna on foot or by bike. There are plenty of surprises in store for you, as moose and beavers have made this wonderful park their home.
It’s also possible to bike-camp. Spend a few nights in a rustic campsite or Huttopia tent. You’ll have plenty of time to enjoy the lake’s warm waters and discover the Pointe-Taillon park by bike. Camping-bike-luggage trailer packages are available.
