When it comes to cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, Camp Mercier is well known! Located in Réserve faunique des Laurentides, less than an hour from Quebec City, it offers classic and skate cross-country skiers, as well as snowshoers, a wide variety of trails, an exceptionally long season (until April), breathtaking scenery and unrivalled views!
Cross-country skiing
Camp Mercier is a renowned cross-country ski center with the best snow conditions in Quebec. You’ll find a snack bar, equipment rental store, waxing room, first-aid clinic, patrollers and state-of-the-art trail maintenance. The trail network comprises 70 linear km of trails (50 km for classic and 20 km for skate skiing).
Snowshoeing
From Camp Mercier, 33 linear km of snowshoe trails have recently been developed. The trails offer breathtaking views, one of which peaks at an altitude of 1,000 m. You can also reach the Le Pic relay station, as well as a lean-to, both at an altitude of 800 m.
Cabins
Nineteen well-equipped cabins sleep 2 to 6 people. They are located near cross-country ski and snowshoe trails. A great way to extend the fun for a few days and get close to the action! In winter, cabin residents can enjoy the inner-tube slide and skating rink located near the Lac-à-Noël and Devlin cottages.
Access
Camp Mercier is located 54 km north of the junction of Highway 40 and Route 175 (Quebec), more precisely at kilometer 94 of Route 175 in Réserve faunique des Laurentides.
