Built with minimal intervention in nature, this section of the national trail starts at Iroquois Falls and leads to the village of Duhamel. From a lookout point, you can admire the beautiful falls. Then cross the creek on a bridge over the waterfalls. Then follow the creek for 2.5 km to another wooden bridge.
At this intersection, you have two choices:
- You can reach the Tour-du-Lac path (750 m). Beautiful waterfalls and picnic tables make for a pleasant stopover.
- You can walk back along the creek, but this time on the other side of the river, to Chemin des Lacs.
The Chemin des Lacs takes you to Lac de la Ferme (2.9 km), which you can see from the top of the cliff. With just a short detour, you’ll discover Jack Wapic Cave! All the way around the lake, you can enjoy the beauty of the lake and the clarity of the water. You’ll continue your hike back to the village, passing by the old Singer railroad, home of the famous sewing machines.
