The site is 14 km from the village of Montpellier and the same distance from Lac-Simon, straddling the two territories.
Access is via the Baie-de-l’Ours road, which leads to Lac Croche.
Looking for a natural outdoor activity?
Lac Croche offers you nature, free of charge, without noise or pretension, a kind of self-service with an authenticity and simplicity that will captivate even the most demanding.
A vast pavilion (heated with wood) awaits you.
In summer, there’s plenty for fishermen (the lake is stocked with fish).
For hikers, there are 30 kilometers of trails, including six to the Lac Mulet relay station.
You’ll see boulders and rocky escarpments, as well as beaver dams.
The scenery includes mountains, valleys and waterfalls.
Daring cyclists (nature biking) take the measure of their fitness and talent.
In winter, the fishermen are back, but they have to dig through the ice, like the otters.
Nearby Lac Blais (uncivilized lake), much larger than Lac Croche, offers its fishing resources to anglers, and its summer breezes to windsurfers.
Trails welcome hikers in summer, skiers in winter.
Snowshoeing, of course, is everywhere, in the middle of trail loops.
Children are kept busy sliding.
Do you have any idea of the splendors of autumn?
Here, nature spoils you.
Year-round, the pavilion is a favorite rendezvous for local quad riders.
The parking lot is just 100 meters from the pavilion, ensuring peace and quiet.
However, at Lac Croche, there’s room for everyone, and one doesn’t get in the way of the other.
A peaceful and harmonious cohabitation of old and new.
