Summit Park is located on Westmount Hill, the smallest of Mount Royal’s three peaks, 1 km west of the popular Beaver Lake.
Unlike Mount Royal Park, it offers no services.
On the other hand, this park is much quieter and the forest is better preserved.
There’s a maple grove on the site, whose undergrowth has remained untouched.
Large oaks and several large birches can be seen, which is rare on the island of Montreal.
To the north, outside the forest, a path runs alongside Summit Circle, giving access to a beautiful viewpoint of Outremont Hill and De la Croix Hill, the other two peaks of Mount Royal.
To the south, a large belvedere offers a view of the city.
The view stretches far and wide, from Mont Saint-Hilaire on the left to the Adirondacks on the right.
It’s also the best place to park your car.
