Situated on the banks of the St. Lawrence River, the park offers a view of a beautiful sunset in summer.
There are games for children, picnic tables and interpretive panels on the region’s shipbuilding industry.
A ramp and dock allow boat launching.
From the shore, you can fish for walleye, pike and bass.
To reach the park, in Saint-Joseph-de-Sorel, take rue Mc Carthy. At the end of this street, turn left onto rue du Fleuve.
From 1936 to the 1960s, the area was renowned for its natural sandy beach and tall trees.
On summer weekends, buses from many regions (especially Montreal) brought people to swim there.
