Situated on the St. Lawrence River, this network of alluvial islands is highly prized by waterfowl, and is the most important nesting site of the Gadwall in Quebec.
It’s also a favorite spot for Pintail and American Wigeon, and an essential feeding ground for waterfowl during breeding, moulting and migration periods.
It is also home to a number of aquatic plants such as Phalaris reed.
Fish species include bass, pike, walleye and yellow perch.
You can kayak, sail or take a rowboat ride.
Launching is at the Contre-Coeur municipal wharf.
Parking is free, except for vehicles with trailers.
From Autoroute 30, take exit 160 (rue St-Antoine).
