Tadoussac Bird Observatory

The Tadoussac Bird Observatory (TBO) is located in Tadoussac, Quebec (Canada), within the Saguenay National Park, Baie-du-Moulin-à-Baude sector. Migratory birds are observed and captured from a sandy terrace, also known as the Tadoussac Dunes, which overlooks the St. Lawrence maritime estuary by 60 meters.

The aim of the observatory is to acquire, through long-term monitoring, data on migratory bird populations, and more specifically on boreal species, in order to assess their demographic trends. Species studied include golden eagles, peregrine falcons, bald eagles and some thirty other migratory bird species, including falcons, hawks and buzzards.
