Located in the Sainte-Rose district, the Bois de l’Équerre is one of Laval’s last large urban forests. There are 13 km of trails, including 2.65 km accredited by Kéroul, criss-crossing the 160-hectare territory. It features many trees, including a sugar maple grove, and wetlands. A wide variety of bird species, some twenty mammal species and ten reptile and amphibian species can be observed.
The Bois de l’Équerre is managed by CANOPÉE and is open all year round. In winter, you can explore the trails on snowshoes, or take a 2.5 km trail groomed for walking.
