Located between the municipalities of Val-David and Val-Morin, the Val-David Val-Morin regional park comprises two major sectors: the Dufresne sector and the FarHills sector. The park forms a single network of cross-country ski trails, snowshoe trails, backcountry ski trails and climbing walls.
The area is renowned for its beginner to expert cross-country ski trails. They criss-cross the region’s mountains, lakes and valleys, and offer several sometimes steep ascents and long descents. In Val-David’s Dufresne Regional Park, you’ll also find a superb two-lane snow slide near the Chalet Anne-Piché. The Anne-Piché chalet is new and very welcoming, but the FarHills chalet is much larger and close to the most interesting runs.
During the summer season, part of the trails will be available for hiking, and another part for mountain biking.
Due to its more or less homogeneous composition, the park’s natural environment supports populations of mainly forest birds, such as American woodcock, pileated woodpecker and ruffed grouse. Of course, we also find more common animal species such as beaver, snowshoe hare, black bear, white-tailed deer and moose.
