The cradle of cross-country skiing in the Laurentians! Now operated by the Municipality of Val-Morin, this part of Parc Dufresne is the first private cross-country ski center in Quebec. Cleared by the discipline’s pioneers, Jack Rabbit and the Gillespie brothers, this immense park offers quality trails.
In fact, the cross-country ski network in Val-David Val-Morin regional park is reputed to be one of the best maintained in the Laurentians! There are 63 km of classic and 15 km of skate trails, with levels of difficulty ranging from beginner to expert. There are many steep climbs and breathtaking descents. There are also 28 km of trails for snowshoeing.
In summer and autumn, part of the trails are open to mountain bikers, with routes for all levels, and another part is reserved for hikers. Whatever the season, the scenery is magnificent, whether on the shores of lakes or on mountain peaks.
The Park abounds in wildlife activities. Inhabitants include white-tailed deer, moose, partridge, hare, pileated woodpecker, wood turtle and marsh frog, to name but a few. Herons call Amigo Lake home…
