Zec des Nymphes – Home Zénon

During your visit to the Zec des Nymphes territory, you’ll discover flora and fauna from every angle. Different species such as deer, common merganser, otter, moose, goldeneye, beaver, loon, great blue heron and many others can be observed during the season. The flora is generous, abundant and colorful. Don’t forget your camera for unforgettable memories!

In spring, strolling along a lake and teasing the fish is a real treat for fishing enthusiasts!

Throughout the summer, rustic camping is very popular with families, and why not take the opportunity to introduce the kids to fishing! An extraordinary experience!

All summer long, the berry-picking season is in full swing, with raspberries, cranberries, blueberries, serviceberries, chokecherries and more. Gourmet delights guaranteed!

In autumn, the scenery changes, and family walks and hikes in the forest are appreciated by young and old alike. For those in the know, picking wild edible mushrooms is a flourishing activity that brings you into direct contact with nature.

At the end of our activity season, hunting for hare, ruffed grouse and grouse will delight fans of small game and good food!

Activities (Saint-Zénon)

Hiking enthusiasts can take advantage of the National Trail that passes through the Zec. Access is just across the road from the Sept-Chutes site, on route 131 north, before the village of St-Zénon.

Mountain biking, a very popular sport, can be practised anywhere on the Zec. Mountain biking and side-by-side hiking are also popular on the Zec des Nymphes territory.

Picking berries, especially blueberries and raspberries, is a family activity par excellence.

The very large Lac des Îles is ideal for kayaking and canoe-camping on the Rivière Mastigouche. You can also enjoy the beaches of Lac des Îles and Lac Merisier.

In winter, you can snowshoe almost anywhere on the Zec.

How to get there

From Joliette, follow route 131 north, towards St-Zénon, a few kilometers before the village, turn right onto chemin De Courcelles, the reception area is on your right.
