Winter and summer alike, the Bell-Nature Network offers nearly 4 km of hiking trails right in the heart of downtown Matagami. The trails cross the boreal forest, passing through several urban parks. They follow the Bell River, calm in some places, fiery in others, with its lovely waterfalls. The water tower path leads to a belvedere that rises above the treetops, offering panoramic views of the village and surrounding area.
