Bike path

Sentier du Paysan

Description

The bike path crosses the Jardins-de-Napierville MRC territory from east to west. It passes through the municipalities of Cantic, Saint-Bernard-de-Lacolle, Saint-Patrice-de-Sherrington, Canton d’Hemmingford and Sainte-Clotilde. The all-asphalt route follows an old railway right-of-way. It is sheltered from traffic and away from villages.

Named “Le Sentier du Paysan”, this multifunctional trail is the MRC’s most important infrastructure project. Built on a relatively flat surface, and mostly in a straight line, it allows visitors to discover the magnificent landscapes of market gardens, woodlands, orchards and various crops grown on the territory.A succession of impressive landscapes showcase the region’s rich agricultural heritage.

East access

Access West

The trail is accessible from Route 209 in Sainte-Clotilde, just south of the2nd Rang. It crosses 209 and you’ll see a small parking area.
