L’Explorateur Parc Parcours is a new technological concept that lets you follow a circuit with an iPod or iPhone and discover the attractions described and illustrated on screen. Sépaq has already implemented this tool in the Jacques-Cartier and Mont-Saint-Bruno national parks. It will also be available in Frontenac National Park from October 11, and in over a dozen parks by 2013.
With the Parcours Explorateur you can personalize your visit by choosing one of our walking, cycling or boating routes. Many of them are punctuated by discovery points to draw your attention to the park’s beauty, landscapes, habitats, fauna, flora and history during your visit. These trails are available on the Sépaq website: Parcours parc de la Jacques-Cartier and Parcours parc du Mont-Saint-Bruno.
The application is not compatible with other types of smartphones, but Sépaq promises that it will be at a later date. For the time being, those who don’t have an iPhone can borrow an iPod from the reception desk in the Discovery and Service Centers, or use the iPads installed there.
