In the heart of the Laurentians, Réserve faunique Papineau-Labelle offers wild landscapes covering 1,628 square kilometers and 762 lakes to anyone seeking peace and beauty. The rich, diversified vegetation provides an ideal environment for wildlife observation, and attractive sites for outdoor activities such as sport hunting and fishing. The many bodies of water in the wildlife reserve are mainly inhabited by brook trout (speckled trout) and lake trout (lake trout).
