Located some twenty minutes from downtown Ottawa in the municipalities of Gatineau, Cantley and Val-des-Monts in Quebec, Nakkertok Nordique is the largest cross-country ski club in Eastern Canada. Its network comprises some 80 km of trails concentrated in two sectors, Nakkertok South and Nakkertok North. Several trails are lit for evening skiing. Nakkertok has its own snow cannons, enabling users to ski earlier in the season.
Nakkertok also offers snowshoeing trails and a walking trail. The area is ideal for birdwatching. Over 100 species have been observed to date: mallard, green-winged teal, ruffed grouse, wild turkey, golden eagle, osprey, red-shouldered hawk, barred owl, warbler, etc.
