Ferme 5 Étoiles

Dog sledding at Sacré-Coeur Côte-Nord

Ferme 5 Étoiles is no ordinary farm. Since 2006, the company has also held a wildlife observation permit, giving it a refuge role for wild animals found injured or orphaned in the wild. It is therefore possible to observe a wide variety of animals representative of Canadian wildlife in natural parks.

At Ferme 5 Étoiles, there’s always a friend to keep you company! In addition to the dogs who greet you on arrival, you may meet baby goats, kittens and other small animals roaming freely around the site.

During your visit to the animals, you’ll have the chance to observe and get up close to goats, rabbits, geese, hens, ducks, cows, horses and dogs, as well as less common species such as bartavelle partridges, bustards, silver pheasants and emus. In addition, you can discover our sled dog kennel. We also have semi-wild herds of bison and red deer in large natural parks.

Nearby, you’ll also have access to several activities, mainly offered by Fjord Aventure:

  • Whale watching
  • Sea kayaking on the Saguenay River
  • Bear, wolf and beaver viewing
  • Mountain quad and snowmobile excursions
  • Forest walk with observation of flora and fauna
  • Horseback riding and trekking
