Located in the lower Laurentians, this park of birch and tall pine trees runs along the Rivière du Nord from Prévost to St-Jérôme, as far as Wilson Falls. There are remains of an old pulp mill and a hydroelectric power station dating from 1881 and 1924 respectively. Interpretation panels on a number of trails, including the Draveur, provide further information on the subject.
The 34 km of trails can be explored on foot or snowshoe. There are 27 km of cross-country ski trails and 18.4 km dedicated to cycling. On the east bank of the river, an 8.5 km stretch of the popular Le P’tit Train du Nord trail runs north-south through the park. Over a hundred species of birds can be observed. The annual stocking of 7,000 rainbow trout and the presence of brown trout, walleye, pike and smallmouth bass will delight anglers.
At the marina, about 2 km from the main lodge, you can rent canoes, single kayaks and double kayaks. Backcountry camping is possible in both winter and summer. Drinking water and toilets are available on site.
