Located on the site of the former Centre Éducatif Forestier (CEF) created by the Ministry of Natural Resources in 1979, the Centre touristique et éducatif des Laurentides (CTEL) was opened in 1994, one year after the CEF closed. Several ecosystems are present: marsh, peat bog, fir stand and maple grove. There are also four bodies of water: Lac Bonnet, Lac à la Truite, Lac du Cordon and Lac Renversi.
A network of some thirty kilometers of trails criss-crosses the CTEL-Eco Laurentides park. The L’Aquatique and Le Riverain trails allow you to walk on bridges in an aquatic environment rather than on dry land. Le Panoramique climbs to the top of a mountain, at an altitude of 500 metres, offering a magnificent view of Lac du Cordon and Mont Tremblant.
Three CTEL lakes will delight anglers, who can fish for speckled trout, rainbow trout and bass, among other species. You can also explore Lac Cordon by kayak, canoe, rabaska or pedal boat.
The Centre touristique et éducatif des Laurentides offers a rental service for nautical activities and camping, including rowboats, canoes, rabaskas, kayaks, pedal boats, tents, mattresses, sleeping bags, etc.
In winter, the trails are accessible for walking, snowshoeing and fabike. There are also trails for cross-country skiing.
The park also boasts Les Refuges Perchés, 4-season ready-to-camp tree houses.
