This four-season recreational park covers 318 hectares, the equivalent of 595 soccer fields. It boasts nearly 50 km of trails for a multitude of activities: hiking, trail running, mountain biking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and fatbike riding. Mont Loup-Garou is the highest peak in the MRC des Pays-d’en-Haut. At its highest point, 498 m, it offers superb views of the surrounding mountains. On a clear day, you can even see the mast of the Olympic Stadium!
Parc du Mont Loup-Garou features a varied forest typical of the Laurentian landscape, home to many wildlife and plant habitats, as well as a multitude of microhabitats and wetlands. Two majestic lakes, Matley and Richer, are home to exceptional aquatic flora and fauna. The area is protected from urban development, ensuring the protection of the environment and the preservation of biodiversity.
