Located in the Sainte-Véronique sector of Rivière-Rouge, this beach on the shores of magnificent Lake Tibériade is accessible free of charge. The area is beautifully landscaped, exceptionally clean, quiet and easy to access. The swimming area is supervised by accredited lifeguards. There’s a boat launch, ample free parking and a children’s playground.
The municipal beach is named Michel-Jr-Lévesque in memory of this soldier, who died in Afghanistan in 2007 at the age of 25. A native of the Sainte-Véronique area, he was a member of the3rd Battalion, Royal 22e Régiment.
