Outdoor and water sports enthusiasts? On the Magog and Saint-François rivers, enjoy a magnificent excursion that combines rural and urban landscapes. A great way to learn about water sports and discover Sherbrooke from a unique perspective! Sherbrooke’s Corridor Bleu has two courses on two still-water rivers.
The Saint-François River trail begins at Optimist Park in the borough of Lennoxville. It follows the river for 16.5 km, ending at the Maison des arts et de la culture de Brompton. That’s an approximate duration of 4 hours. For a shorter excursion (approx. 10 km), you can leave from Mena’sen Park in Sherbrooke.
The start of the Magog River course is at Deauville’s Plage-Municipale park. The descent totals 14 km and takes approximately 3.5 hours. There are two portages: Rock Forest Dam (200 metres) and Drummond Dam (300 metres). The finish is in the Parc Lucien-Blanchard.
Parking and access to both rivers are free. Please note that there is no shuttle service back to your departure point. You’ll need to leave a car at your arrival point. To rent a boat, you must be able to transport it yourself to the launching point.
