An outdoor center located northeast of Sherbrooke, Vallée heureuse du Mont Elan offers 70 acres of nature in a magnificent valley between 2 mountainsides and bordered by a stream. It offers a wide range of activities and services: hiking and snowshoeing trails, mountain biking, cross-country skiing, hebertism, tobogganing, flora and fauna interpretation, mycology, reception room, heated in-ground saltwater pool, spas, sauna and Nordic bath.
The site benefits from the slopes of the former ski resort. Mountain bikers and walkers can take the 5km gravel path or lose themselves in the wilder slopes. You can relax by the water, pan for gold in the “Big Holow” creek, renowned in the days of the gold diggers, enjoy a variety of games such as badminton, beach volleyball and iron, and savour delicious dishes on the restaurant terrace.
Finally, Glamping de la Vallée heureuse du Mont Elan: yurts, wi-tents, prospector camps, Scandinavian huts, large-capacity chalets, camping with or without services. The only 4-star campground with fewer than 50 sites in the Haut-Saint-François region.

The Happy Valley is also the East Angus zone’s starting point for the Stokes Mountains. Access to Grotte de l’ours (9.6 km), a beautiful walk along the creek and a visit to a “grotto” formed by a rock that has fallen into a fault. Access to Rang 11 hut (10.5 km) and Rang 14 hut (16.5 km).
