The park
A true hub of outdoor activities, Lucien-Blanchard Park is a large green space with activities and services available to visitors twelve months a year. Lucien-Blanchard Park is rightly considered one of the main gateways to the Grandes-Fourches network.
Picnic areas, children’s playgrounds and two beach volleyball courts are just some of the services available to users of Lucien-Blanchard Park. On the banks of the Magog River, Plage Lucien-Blanchard, open daily from mid-June to the end of August, is an open-water swimming area in the heart of the city.
The Club nautique de Sherbrooke offers watercraft rentals and programs in rowing, dragon boating, canoeing and paddleboarding.
A network of wooded trails runs along the south side of the Magog River. The north shore can be reached via a footbridge over the river, for a 15 km loop.
In winter, from Wednesday to Sunday from December to March, the park offers snow scooter rentals.
La Maison de l’eau
Open to all, the Maison de l’Eau is a meeting place for discovery, with a focus on education and awareness-raising. It also has an exhibition room and a projection room, offering visitors an exhibition on reptiles and amphibians, as well as nature science activities.
There’s an information center on outdoor activities, a snack bar, a souvenir store, and a multi-purpose room with washroom facilities and showers.
