Pointe-aux-Anglais Beach

Aerial view of Pointe-aux-Anglais beach, 11 km long

In this hamlet of Port-Cartier, halfway between Sept-Îles and Baie-Comeau, Pointe-aux-Anglais beach is one of the most beautiful beaches on the Côte-Nord. The 11-kilometre stretch of fine sand stretches as far as Rivière-Pentecôte. It’s an ideal spot for walking, birdwatching and marine mammal watching. It’s also an excellent environment for fat biking, surfing and kitesurfing.

Access

Parking at the Louis-Langlois museum or at the rest area at the eastern end of the village.

Remnants of Admiral Walker’s English fleet, wrecked here in 1711, can still be seen on the beach.
