Located on Île Patterson Nord, in the archipelago of downtown Port-Cartier, Parc de la Taïga offers two kilometers of forest trails along the Rivière aux Rochers. Here you can admire typical boreal forest vegetation, as well as an area covered in mossy lichens. The area is also ideal for birdwatching.
At the halfway point, a natural lookout offers a view of the dam’s impressive waterfall, which spills its whitewater torrents just a few meters away. In season, you can see the skill of the salmon fishermen who come to tease the king of rivers in one or other of the twelve pools located along the trails.
