Île Grande Basque – Seven Islands Archipelago

Located four kilometers from the coast, Île Grande Basque is the closest island to Sept-Îles and the marina.
With a surface area of 450 hectares and peaks rising to 150 metres, it offers magnificent views of the gulf and the archipelago of islands.
The rugged terrain features rocks, natural faults, stone ramparts, a cave, a peat bog and six beaches.
You’ll be able to observe seabirds, different species of whales and enjoy superb sunsets.
You’ll have access to 12 km of hiking trails, including interpretive trails on the fauna, typical flora and history of Ile Grande Basque.
Guides will be happy to introduce you to geology, marine biology, ornithology and mycology.
The Île Grande Basque campsite has 23 tent pitches for overnight stays.
Camping equipment rental is available.
The island is open from mid-June to the end of September, and is accessible by shuttle by two boat operators: Excursions Le Petit Pingouin and Traverse Les Croisières du Capitaine.
