Located on the shores of the St. Lawrence River, the Port-au-Saumon Ecological Center, part of the Charlevoix World Biosphere Reserve (UNESCO), boasts highly diversified terrestrial and marine ecosystems.
Aquariums have been set up on the shore to facilitate observation of the marine species that live there.
With 40 years of experience under its belt, the ecological center offers summer science camps for children aged 8 to 17, nature classes for schools, interpreted hikes for visitors, and study and discovery stays for CEGEPs, universities and groups, all in a majestic environment and stimulating atmosphere.
