The Municipality of Baie-Sainte-Catherine’s network of hiking trails covers almost 10 km, in four linear sections that criss-cross each other, offering the possibility of several loops. The area’s mountainous terrain offers views of the St. Lawrence River and the endless forest to the west. The Chute trail gives access to Roger Lake, which we follow for about 1 km. You can also observe the Rivière aux Canards waterfall. For caving enthusiasts, a cave is accessible via the sentier des Pins.
The Lac Roger trail is the shortest, at around 1 km, and is easily accessible to beginners and families alike. At the far end of the trail, you’ll find great views of Lac Roger and its small islands, as well as the surrounding mountains. The sentier des Colons begins on flat ground, followed by mountain climbs and a succession of descents and ascents, sometimes steep and even requiring a rope, over a very short section, for added caution.

From La Malbaie, follow Route 138 east to Baie-Sainte-Catherine. Turn left onto rue Leclerc, continue for 500 meters and turn left onto Chemin des Loisirs (gravel road). The main P1 parking lot is 100 meters ahead on the left.
