Located just minutes from downtown Val-d’Or, the Forêt récréative offers 50 km2 of fun, relaxation and thrills! Thousands of users criss-cross its trails on foot, bike, snowshoes, cross-country skis, ice skates and in-line skates all year round. You’ll discover a sparse forest with marshes, remarkable biodiversity and magnificent panoramas.
In winter, the Agnico-Eagle ice trail offers 2 km of skating. Over 50 km of cross-country ski trails cater to skiers of all levels and styles (classic or skate). Trail quality and snow conditions are exceptional. You’ll also have access to 25 km of snowshoe trails and a 3 km fatbike trail. A snow slide is available, and tubes can be borrowed.
In summer, there’s a 2 km paved multi-purpose trail and stone dust trails for hiking and biking. Over 25 km of smooth, rolling single-track and technical trails are available for mountain biking. A new 1 km family-friendly hebertism trail features several fun obstacles to introduce young and old to outdoor activities.
