Aiguebelle National Park

Parc national d’Aiguebelle is located 50 km northeast of Rouyn-Noranda and 90 km from the Ontario border, in the tourist region of Abitibi-Témiscamingue. A veritable natural jewel of the region, it boasts a number of geological phenomena with evocative names: giant potholes, volcanic pillows… A 22-metre-high footbridge crosses a gigantic fault for a thrilling ride. From up there, you can admire landscapes deeply marked by the work of billions of years. Numerous discovery activities open up onto a diversity of wildlife species: moose, beaver, mink, heron, osprey, to name but a few. Winter or summer, Parc national d’Aiguebelle is the ideal place to take your time!

Activities

The park boasts nearly 30 km of hiking trails ranging in difficulty from easy to strenuous. In addition to hiking, you can sea kayak on vast Lac Loïs and canoe on several other lakes, including the majestic La Haie and Sault fault lakes. In winter, you can go fat biking, snowshoeing or even Nordic skiing. At the Abijévis campground, children will love the tubing.
