St. Lawrence waterfront cycling path
Description
This linear park stretches 21 km along the banks of the majestic St. Lawrence River. The Berges trail can be explored on foot, bike or in-line skates in summer, and on cross-country skis in winter. There are panoramic views of the Lachine Rapids and Lake Saint-Louis, numerous picnic areas and heritage attractions along the river.
The bike path starts in the Montreal borough of Verdun, passes through LaSalle and Lachine to the city limits of Dorval. You’ll pass through several riverside parks along the way. After the Lachine lock, via Promenade Père-Marquette, you arrive at the Fur Trade at Lachine National Historic Site. The trail then continues to Lachine’s Summerlea Park.
