Parc de la Rivière-du-Moulin

Located on a historic site, this park is a veritable forest in the heart of the city! Throughout the year, you’ll have access to over 35 km of marked trails on either side of the river. You’ll be able to see the rapids of the Rivière du Moulin, as well as the Sables, Équerre and Voile de la mariée waterfalls. There are also numerous picnic areas.

Parc de la Rivière-du-Moulin offers a multitude of activities including hiking, mountain biking, trout wading and kayaking. In winter, you can enjoy 31 km of cross-country ski trails, fully groomed for classic and skate skiing. Snowshoeing enthusiasts have access to 17 km of marked trails, ranging from easy to very difficult.

Rental of canoes, kayaks, pedal boats, ice skates, snowshoes and cross-country skis is available.

The earliest known uses of the park’s current territory are linked to the saw and flour mills located at the northern end of the park, near the mouth of the Moulin River. The part of the park laid out with trails and increasingly used by today’s vacationers is more closely associated with the construction of the Ermitage Saint-Georges dwelling belonging to the Augustine Sisters of the Misericorde de Jésus.
