This park, formerly known as Parc régional des lacs Long et Montauban, covers an area of 83 km², with several lakes, rivers and streams. There is a network of 5 hiking trails totalling 29 km. You’ll have access to waterfalls, beaver ponds and a number of lakes. You can also climb to the top of Montagne de la Tour for a view of the region.
Lac Montauban is a great place for canoe-camping. It is possible to extend the route by passing through Lac Long and Lac Nadeau. Access to the landing stage is via chemin du lac Long.
The Lac Long cliff offers magnificent climbing routes for experienced climbers who have the necessary equipment to practice their sport.
Canoe and kayak rentals are available by the hour or by the day (24h) by reservation only. Equipment for transporting boats by car is provided if required.
Note: A daily parking fee is charged, as well as a fee for boat launching and camping.
In winter, Les Portes de l’Enfer cross-country ski center offers 32 km of classic ski trails, 17 km of snowshoe trails, and lodging in cabins, chalets and shelters. It is located on the 5th rang in Saint-Alban (Secteur Porte de l’Enfer). The gorges de la rivière Sainte-Anne sector (main lodge) is also accessible, but the other sectors, Lac Long, Lac des Lacs and Lac Carillon, are closed during the cold season.
