The Bras-du-Nord Valley is miles of rivers and trails in the heart of a rural valley, a breathtaking waterfall and breathtaking mountains. A multitude of activities are available. For overnight stays, you’ll find refuges, rustic campsites, yurts (capacity: 4 people) and furnished chalets that can accommodate up to 10 people.
The main reception pavilion is located at 107 Grande-Ligne, in the Hôtel Roquemont, G3L2Y4. Here you’ll find our first mountain-biking area. The Bras-du-Nord Valley also offers canoeing, single kayaking and double kayaking on the Bras-du-Nord River. It is important to reserve a boat and shuttle before arriving on site. Meeting point is at Accueil Cantin, 1391 Rang Sainte-Croix, 15 minutes north of Saint-Raymond. L’accueil Shannahan, 30 minutes from Saint-Raymond, is the perfect place for hiking, via ferrata and canyoning! This is also where you’ll find the second mountain biking sector.
Activities
Hiking enthusiasts meet at the Shannahan reception. The 80-km network of hiking trails in the Bras-du-Nord Valley ranges from easy to advanced. A hike-sleep-canoe combo allows you to hike to the west side of the valley on the Bras-du-Nord trail (22 km) and return by canoe (17 km). A day trip or canoe-camping trip down the Bras-du-Nord River is a Valley classic. This easy, shallow river flows gently, leaving very little to the current (only two class 1 rapids). In winter, you can go snowshoeing (short, medium or long hikes, with overnight stays in a hut or yurt). You can also go backcountry skiing with a guide, or fat biking on specially prepared trails.
