Parc des Montagnes Noires de Ripon

Observation tower atop Mont Grand-Pic in Ripon's Black Mountains Park

Parc des Montagnes Noires de Ripon is an 800-acre forested area in the heart of the Petite-Nation region. This massif offers wild landscapes and panoramic views from the top of Grand-Pic mountain (426 meters). The Montagnes Noires are the perfect place for outdoor activities and contemplation of natural landscapes.

The 17 trails, totalling 25 km, are ideal for hiking, mountain biking, fat biking, cross-country skiing, hok skiing and snowshoeing. There’s also a family slide area, a welcome chalet, three shelters, a lookout point at the summit of Grand-Pic Mountain, and the brand-new observation tower that offers a 360-degree view! The park is open year-round. Leashed dogs are allowed.
