Created and managed by community members as a non-profit organization, Parc des Chutes Coulonge is a tribute to the history of the log drive. For over two centuries, the Coulonge River was used as a transportation route. Historical artifacts and interpretive panels help visitors learn more about this era.
Along the 1.1km trail, you can also admire the canyon and falls of the Rivière Coulonge, including the 48-metre-high Grand Falls. Several lookouts offer magnificent views of the falls, and a bridge crosses the river above them.
The park also offers three aerial activities. Les Tyros géantes du Canyon, zip-line courses located in the Coulonge River canyon. The Via Ferrata, a combination of climbing and hiking over a distance of more than 500 metres along the rock face, using anchor points and cables to help you progress. And then there’s an obstacle course for adults, with over 23 suspended games in the trees, including rope bridges, hoops, tyros, monkey bridges, nets and more.
